Ride Earth is the mission of Tom Allen and Andy Welch to travel round the globe by mountain bike. You might remember that they departed from the UK in June 2007, carrying video cameras to document their expedition with the aim of promoting sustainable transport and discovering the world and themselves through responsible, open-minded travel. Here the the Wilderness Foundation UK we have been keenly following their travels and Tom and Andy have endeavoured to raise the profile of our work wherever and whenever they could. Between them they have the aim of raising £10,000 for our charity through the course of their expedition. This is through direct sponsorship of the boys during their ride, plus the sale of items of merchandise such as the “Ride Earth – The Journey So Far” calendar for 2009.
