Hello all and I hope April has been good to you so far.  It seems like we’ve bypassed spring and shot straight into summer!  No April showers for us, we were lucky enough to have lovely weather for both Bushcraft Weekend courses (anyone who bought wafer thin sleeping bags along might disagree with me though, you know who you are…).

Our new Family Bushcraft Weekend went very well over the Easter holidays.  Everyone got stuck into the task of building a large dome shelter using bendy Hazel and lightweight tarpaulins for each family to ensure a snug and dry night. A foraging walk for useful plants, a ‘no matches allowed’ fire lighting challenge, lessons on how to find safe drinking water in the woods, some very successful campfire bread making and a lot of whittling were also crammed in to this busy weekend with an Easter egg hunt thinly disguised as a tracking exercise to finish off.

Thanks to everyone who came to visit us in the woods during April. Hope to see you again in the future.
