The Wilderness Foundation is pleased to announce that Christina Ballard has joined the charity as a voluntary Ambassador

Christina became aware of our work through her son Rees, who was an active mentor supporting many young people through both TurnAround and Out There in the years that he worked with us.  Sadly Rees passed away earlier this year.  He is greatly missed.

Christina says “It gives me great pride to be working with the Wilderness Foundation.  My late son Rees worked as a volunteer helping with mentoring young people and partaking in outdoor activities in nature.  As Rees loved nature and helping other people, this charity was very close to his heart, and now, it is close to mine too.

“This organisation really does help the young people who need a positive experience to help them on their way in life.  I was invited by the Foundation to become an Ambassador, a role which I was delighted to accept.  I am looking forward to continuing to promote this organisation and all the great things they are achieving.”

Alex, Rees’ twin brother also wishes to continue in his brother’s pathway – supporting vulnerable people through an outdoor experience that will help them to grow and thrive.
