Scotland Wilderness Trails

About Scotland wilderness trails:

The Wilderness Foundation leads trails across a range of estates, including Atholl Estates, the Douglas & Angus Estate and the Crown Estate at Glenlivet, as well as a number of National Parks throughout Scotland.

Expeditions include opportunities for either trekking, canoeing or kayaking and are self-supporting over a period of 4 to 10 days. The residential expedition’s will often start and finish at one of our three bases located in the Highlands and South Lanarkshire, all of which are easily accessible by air, rail and road.

We encourage our participating groups to engage with the staff who live and work on the estates and National Parks, and the Wilderness Foundation can help to accommodate additional activities including pony-trekking, fishing and wildlife watching.

Conservation volunteering is available for school groups, cadet forces and youth groups as well as Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme residential and expedition teams.
