Chatham Green Project

An outdoor living classroom built on 400 acres of farmland in the heart of Essex, to explore farming and nature for a sustainable future

At Chatham Green, students engage in fun, hands-on learning activities to explore such topics as:

  • Sustainability
  • Food and farming
  • Biodiversity and habitats
  • Population and land use
  • Energy, water, and waste

A visit to Chatham Green also gives students valuable time outdoors connecting to farming and nature. Learning activities are linked to many curriculum areas, including not only sciences but also geography, mathematics, English, PSHE, citizenship, and art.
